HOWEVER, Rossi does not mess it up and these books are actually really good. AHHH.įINALLY! I need to say I was a tiny bit apprehensive when starting this series because I love dome type books and it’s very easy to screw up such an interesting world and environment. For real you guys, it is great and I am still kind of sighing, also looking forward to book three. If you like multiple romantic storylines you will LOVE Through The Ever Night. I had to seriously text Jamie about about my heartbreak during the book and ugh, Roar, and I just can’t go on you guys. Yet, you can just feel these emotions between them whenever they are together, even in public. I mean, you guys, Perry and Aria can’t exactly be together the way they want to, they have to hide their relationship and feelings because the Tides don’t trust Aria. One thing that Rossi straight up nails is the sexual tension. I really liked that Rossi did not make his life easy once he became the leader. HOWEVER, he’s just so endearing and there’s just so much sympathy for him on my end you guys. He also finds resistance from them about Aria. Like, he wants to move the tribe and meets with resistance. I’ll be honest with you all and tell you it is absolutely not an easy road for Perry as you probably gathered from my plot summary. Whereas Under The Never Sky was about Perry learning to control his temper – Through The Ever Night is about Perry learning to lead his tribe, the Tides. We all know that Aria isn’t the only main character, there’s also Perry who is holding down his own point of view chapters. Aria totally stands her ground, even when it might be to her personal detriment for the greater good. Now that she’s living in the Outside, in the real world and not the realms, it’s like she has developed this sort of toughness. She just seems more sure of herself in this book — I think that has to do with being out of Reverie for so long. Straight up, Aria is like that in Through The Ever Night. I kind of get the impression that a lot of you are like me and like your heroines to be all guns blazing. There’s about to be a lot of capslock you guys, like even for me. I’ll be honest and say I was nervous to read it because of the whole second book syndrome thing — but it was SO GOOD OMG. There’s a lot happening in Through The Ever Night. AND OMG THE EMOTIONS, I CANNOT WITH THIS SUMMARY YOU GUYS. PLUS Liv is going through with her plans to marry the dude who knows where the Still Blue is, instead of Roar. PLUS, his exgirlfriend Brooke is a total witch to Aria. Anyways, the Aether storms are getting worse and food is getting more scarce — Perry is totally having a hard time. Furthermore, Soren is not a total douche, I know. HOWEVER, we get way more Roar in this book and that is always a positive thing. Aria finally gets to meet the Tides and let me tell you, they don’t trust her. The two have been apart for months and oh you guys they are about to reunite and it’s about to get steamy and awesome up in here. Aria is on the search for the Still Blue as part of a deal she has with Soren’s father. He’s not in love with leadership, but he does what he has to in order to save his people. Perry is now Blood Lord of the Tides, his tribe of about 400 people give or take. So step away if you are weird and read reviews of sequels to books you haven’t read yet. I can’t really talk about the plot of Through The Ever Night without spoiling Under The Never Sky. If you are in the mood for emotions taking over, you are going to need to be all over this book my friend. In fact, I was sooo all over the place with my emotions while reading that I had to text one of my blogging BFFs, Jamie, and tell her my reactions because I needed someone to understand those feels. AND TRUST ME YOU ALL I AM EXCITED ABOUT THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT. Quite frankly, Through The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi brings the goddamn noise you guys and ugh, it is so darn good that I can’t help myself with the swears that will pop out during this review — because I swear when I get excited. You guys I just kind of sit on books that are good for an obnoxiously long time, I don’t know, I just seem to kind of parcel them out and read a lot of blah in between. Obviously the theme of my 2014 reviews of 2013 books read is essentially WHY DIDN’T I READ THIS SEQUEL SOONER.
